Fly fish Venice, Louisiana
Home of Fly Fishing and Light Tackle in Venice, Lousiana
Captain Jake grew up in-shore fishing on Florida’s Gulf Coast. He caught his first red when he was 5 and added the silver king (tarpon) to his list when he was just 6. He has enjoyed the thrill of catching bass to sharks, and everything in between.
A 6 yr career in the Army with the 1st Ranger Batallion took him to Savannah, GA where his passion for fishing continued. Now he's back home guiding full-time off of the shores of Anna Maria Island, Lousiana, and Alaska for reds, snook, tarpon, permit, speckled and big rainbow trout, and salmon.
His quest to experience the ultimate fishing destinations has taken him to places such as LA, FL, GA, WI, MT, AZ, SC, NC, ID, Texas, Alaska, Mexico, Belize, Columbia, and Brazil where he has learned to fine tune his obsession for fly fishing. There is no fish too big or too small that he doesn't enjoy chasing, but he has to admit that he's an addict for tossing a fly at those big redfish and tarpon. The adrenaline rush he gets when "ole red" boils up on a hand-tied fly never gets old.
It doesn’t matter if you want to fish hard, or just relax with lots of shenanigans...Jake guarantees fun.
As an Army Vet, his dream to share an experience on the water with others has become a reality and he looks forward to sharing it with you.
